San Antonio, Texas makes for a fun weekend getaway, with plenty of historical and cultural attractions to pair with its swanky cocktail bars and endless dining options along the famous Riverwalk. If you’re planning a quick trip to this up-and-coming city, here’s my guide on what to pack.
San Antonio is HOT in the summer and feels like late October in New England in the winter… not bad, right? Just make sure you pack layers in case it gets chilly – when I was there, an unexpected rainstorm brought temps from 80 to 70 in a flash, meaning I was grateful I’d carried my sweater along.
While San Antonio is a very casual city, everyone gets more dressed up for bars like The Brooklynite and Blue Box. But these aren’t mini-skirt-and-stiletto type venues, think more laid back downtown chic.
Since it can be overwhelmingly hot in the summer, you’ll want to keep this refreshing mist on hand for a cool flash at your fingertips. Also, sunscreen is obviously a must.
