Hangin’ With Monkeys at Punta Laguna Nature Reserve

We move silently, single file through the jungle, carefully removing branches from the path as we follow our native Mayan guide, Miguel. His head twists and turns as his eyes sweep the treetops above us. Occasionally he motions for us to stop, and we stand still, straining our eyes and ears to see something. After about twenty minutes of hunting, we find what we came for: a family of spider monkeys appears.
