Outfit | Sunday Afternoon in NYC

Sunday Afternoon

This Sunday afternoon I had to stop by a trade show for work, so I decided to go a little more professional than my typical weekend daytime uniform. I love this color block blazer that Kohl’s sent me last season. It might be a bit spring-y for the current weather but I’m just in a springtime frame of mind! I paired it with my super comfy JustFab booties that were only $39.95. I always need a little heel since I’m only 5’1.

Travel Diary: Ormond Beach, Florida

I mentioned in my last post that I traveled to Ormond Beach, Florida last weekend for a family reunion. Although it was a little chilly, it was still sunny and definitely nicer weather than NYC! I enjoyed meeting many, many new family members that I didn’t even know existed and exploring the area a bit. Ormond Beach is right near Daytona and isn’t somewhere that would normally be on my radar. Here are a few snaps from my trip:

Daytona Beach is the only one I’ve been to where you can drive ON the beach… so of course we had to try it!

We had a BBQ in the yard at this amazing rental house on the water. How cool is that screened in pool? The houses in this area are INSANE – I’m talking mansions everywhere.

I was immediately obsessed with this couch, which was also part of the rental house.

An extremely cool bird cage, that may or may not have more square footage than the average Manhattan apartment.

The outside of the house… I must admit this image is stolen from Google Maps. But I forgot to take one of the front!

Another photo that is not mine (credit: Foodspotting). But if you are ever in this area, get yourself to Peach Valley Cafe for breakfast and devour a plate of their apple fritters! I ate here twice and while it didn’t do much for my waistline, these small bites of deliciousness were well worth it.

Outfit | Airport Style in Newark, New Jersey

Over President’s Day weekend I traveled to Florida for a family reunion. Air travel always brings the question: what to wear on the plane? I don’t believe in icky sweats, but I also like to fly in comfort. My main issue with airplanes is that I get really cold, but airports themselves can be really hot. Therefore, layering is key!

My feet are always freezing on airplanes, so I make sure I’m wearing boots. The last thing you want is to be stuck shivering on a 6 hour flight.

What do you wear to the airport?

Photo Diary: Scenes from Morocco

Photo Diary: Scenes from Morocco

I visited Morocco in December and it was an amazing experience. My sister is living in Casablanca for work so my family went to visit her over the holidays. We were there for about 11 days and we covered SO much it’s really hard to fit it all into one blog post but I’ll try! Continue Reading…
